Geometric Daze

This is what my typical look is, especially if I have a long day ahead of me. I love these shorts I got from a shop on St. Marks in Manhattan. They are so perfect. After I got them, I could not stop wearing them. Of course, I am always wearing my leather jacket and platform boots. Since it was pretty windy that day, I decided to use a shaw of mine as a scarf. Gave a look of more layers and really helped bring everything together.

I Will Miss You

Probably my favorite outfit so far. I just recently got this shirt in the mail. I ordered it on cyber monday from Romwe for only $10! Obviously the first way I thought of wearing it was with my Deandri harness. This is so reminiscent of 80's post punk. I think next, I'll definitely have to pair this white top with a bolo tie. This outfit also exhibits my favorite pair of Zara brand jeans, which I got from a second hand shop in NYC. It's amazing what kind of great finds you can stumble upon in most of the thrift shops here. Belt and shoes are also second hand. (I'm a pretty frugal shopper).

This skirt is so fun to wear. I wanted to have a chance to wear it out before it gets too cold. I think it goes best paired with this white bustier lace top I found in a thrift store a while back. This outfit is very romantic with a sultry vibe. In order to not make it too sexy, I sported my favorite leather black jacket. Sometimes I wear this jacket over dressy outfits in order to toughen up my image. I feel that I can't allow myself to look to dainty. It's just not me. The shoes also give off a bold look with the chunky heels and big silver buckles.

Autumn Leaves

Autumn is slowly fading into winter. The short time that the fall season is here, I take every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. To me and many others, it's the perfect season. The air turns crisp, the temperature is comfortable, and there seems to be a more carefree feeling in the air. Growing up in Florida, I didn't really get to experience a "true" autumn. The weather would become a little chillier, but no leaves would turn and the Florida sun would still outshine any chance of overcast. It never truly felt festive. That's why my first year here in New York, I made sure to embrace the fall season. My boyfriend and I decided to take a day trip to Sleepy Hallow, just an hour outside of the city, to take these photos. We explored the historic cemetery and enjoyed the nature surrounding it.

The older I get, the more I begin to appreciate minimalism. I am a huge fan of solid colored outfits with a simple silhouette. With this outfit, I really got to experiment and explore dressing in a more mature fashion than usual. Most days I wear jeans or cut off shorts, but I decided to try on some new slacks I got. It was perfect for summer too because they were lose and made of light cotton. The top was a simple button up with a split in the back. It added a bit of playfulness to an otherwise serious ensemble.
